With God, All Things Are Possible
11/20/2025
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’”
— Matthew 19:26 (NIV)
There are moments in life when the gap between where we are and where we long to be feels impossibly wide. It might be a dream that seems out of reach, a relationship that feels beyond repair, a burden we don’t think we can carry anymore, or a season that feels too heavy to walk through.
Jesus spoke these words in response to the disciples’ shock over how difficult it is to enter the Kingdom. They assumed “impossible,” but Jesus responded with what He has always said to the human heart:
“You’re looking at the wrong source.”
God delights in doing what we cannot.
I remember when God first began stirring my heart about launching a church……at 56 years old. Let me be honest: I argued with Him.
“Lord, I’m too old to start something new.”
“Church planting is for younger pastors with energy I don’t have.”
“What if I fail? What if no one comes? What if this isn’t really You?”
On paper, the timing didn’t make sense. The calling felt too big. And I felt far too small.
But God kept whispering into my spirit, “This isn’t about what you can do it’s about what I can do through you.”
I didn’t suddenly become the most qualified or the most confident. What changed was this: I stopped looking at my limitations and started looking at His power.
We forget His power when we’re staring at our limitations.
But Jesus never asked us to measure life by what we can do only by who He is.
If He can part seas, open wombs, calm storms, multiply lack, heal the broken, and raise the dead…
He can meet you where you stand today.
He can work in places you cannot reach.
He can open doors you cannot push.
He can redeem moments you cannot fix.
He can carry weights you cannot lift.
What is impossible for you is still completely possible for Him.
Action Steps:
• Identify one situation you’ve labeled “impossible.” Name it honestly before God.
• Pray specifically for God to work in a way only He can.
• Declare Matthew 19:26 over your day every time doubt rises.
• Share a testimony with someone this week about something God has made possible in your life.
Today’s Challenge:
Speak faith out loud. Pick one sentence that reflects God’s power, “God can do this,” or “Nothing is too hard for Him.” Repeat it every time fear, frustration, or impossibility tries to speak.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that Your power is not limited by my weakness. You see what I cannot fix, carry, or change, and You meet me there with strength and possibility. Help me trust You more deeply today. Remind my heart that You are the God of the impossible, and nothing is beyond Your reach, Your wisdom, or Your love. Work in the places I can’t and lead me into the victory You have already prepared. In Jesus’ name, amen.
