Abundant Life
10/10/2025
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
- John 10:10 (NIV)
There’s a battle being fought over your life every single day. One side seeking to rob you of peace, joy, and purpose; the other offering freedom, abundance, and fulfillment. Jesus doesn’t mince words here. He draws a clear line between the enemy’s agenda and His own. The enemy’s goal is destruction. Jesus’ goal? Life, real, overflowing, soul-filling life.
Think about it this way: imagine walking into a dark, empty house. You flip the switch, but nothing happens. Then someone knocks at the door, it’s Jesus, carrying light, warmth, and a feast. The house doesn’t change in size, but everything inside changes when He enters. That’s what He offers us, a life not merely survived, but truly lived.
We often equate “abundant life” with material blessings, but Jesus speaks of something far deeper. It’s the peace that steadies you in a storm. The joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances. The purpose that propels you beyond comfort zones. Abundant life isn’t about having more, it’s about being filled more, with Him.
Action Steps:
1. Identify the thieves in your life. Anything that drains your joy, peace, or spiritual focus.
2. Invite Jesus in daily. Ask Him to fill every area where emptiness or fear has crept in.
3. Live generously. True abundance multiplies when shared, your time, encouragement, and love can bring life to others.
Challenge for Today:
Live like someone who’s already received abundance. Let your words, your peace, and your kindness overflow into the lives of those around you.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to bring life; life that’s full, rich, and overflowing with Your goodness. Help me to recognize and resist the things that steal my joy. Fill me with Your presence today so that others can see the life You’ve placed within me. Amen.
