Alive Through His Spirit
10/06/2025
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
- Romans 8:11 (NIV)
When Paul wrote these words to the believers in Rome, he was reminding them of a powerful truth, resurrection power isn’t just a future hope; it’s a present reality. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in every believer. Think about that, the very power that rolled away the stone, breathed life into lifeless lungs, and defeated death itself now dwells in you.
Imagine a phone that’s completely dead. No matter how many features it has or how advanced it is, it’s useless without power. Plug it in, though, and suddenly it comes alive with light, sound, and purpose. Many of us walk through life “spiritually drained,” forgetting that God’s Spirit is the power source we’re meant to stay connected to every moment of every day.
This isn’t about trying harder; it’s about yielding more fully. The Spirit gives us strength when we’re weak, courage when we’re afraid, and hope when circumstances look hopeless. He revives our weary souls and even infuses our physical lives with divine energy to keep going when we’d rather quit.
When life feels heavy and you wonder how to keep moving forward, remember, resurrection power isn’t something you have to earn or wait for. It’s already alive within you.
Action Steps:
Start your day by asking, “Holy Spirit, fill me today.” Then pause and breathe in that truth.
Identify one area of your life that feels “lifeless” a dream, relationship, or habit, and invite God’s Spirit to breathe new life into it.
Speak life over yourself and others today, words of encouragement, faith, and hope.
Today’s Challenge:
Refuse to live powerless. Remind yourself throughout the day that the same Spirit who raised Jesus is alive and active in you! Speak it, believe it, and walk in it.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your Spirit — the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Help me live each day aware of that truth. Breathe new life into the areas where I’ve grown weary or discouraged. Strengthen me to live with faith, joy, and purpose, knowing that resurrection power is alive within me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
