Go Into All the World

05/11/2026

There is something powerful about being entrusted with a mission. Whether it’s a coach sending players onto the field, a commander preparing troops, or a parent giving final words of wisdom before a child leaves home, those moments matter because they carry purpose. In today’s verse, Jesus gives His followers one of the clearest and most important assignments ever spoken. These weren’t casual words. These were resurrection words. Jesus had conquered death, and now He was sending His people out with hope for the world.

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’”
— Mark 16:15 (NIV)

Jesus never intended for the gospel to stay inside church walls. The message of hope, forgiveness, grace, and salvation was always meant to move. Notice He didn’t say, “Wait for the world to come to you.” He said, “Go.” That means the Christian life is not passive. Faith was never designed to simply be admired; it was designed to be shared.

Sometimes we hear a verse like this and immediately think of missionaries overseas or pastors behind pulpits. But this command belongs to every believer. Your “world” may be your workplace, your neighborhood, your family dinner table, the gym, the grocery store, or the coffee shop you visit every morning. God has strategically placed you where you are for a reason.

One of the greatest lies the enemy tells believers is that they are unqualified to share their faith. “You don’t know enough.” “You’ve made too many mistakes.” “Someone else can do it better.” But the gospel has never been about perfect people delivering a perfect presentation. It’s about redeemed people pointing others to a perfect Savior.

Think about the woman at the well in John 4. She didn’t have years of theological training. She simply encountered Jesus and then ran back to her town telling everyone, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did.” Her testimony became a bridge for others to meet Christ. Sometimes the most powerful witness is simply sharing what Jesus has done in your life.

We live in a world searching for answers. People are exhausted, anxious, lonely, and spiritually hungry. Many are chasing success, relationships, money, or distractions hoping to fill an emptiness only Christ can satisfy. The gospel is still the answer. Jesus is still the answer.

And the beautiful thing is this: when Jesus calls us to go, He also promises His presence. We do not go alone. The same power that rolled away the stone empowers believers today to carry His message with boldness and compassion.

Today, ask God to open your eyes to opportunities around you. Sometimes sharing the gospel looks like speaking truth. Sometimes it looks like listening deeply, loving consistently, serving humbly, or praying courageously. Every act of obedience becomes a seed planted for the Kingdom of God.

Take a moment today to:

* Pray for one person who needs Jesus.
* Ask God for boldness to speak when the opportunity comes.
* Share your testimony or invite someone to church.
* Look for ways to reflect Christ through kindness and encouragement.

Challenge for today:
Don’t keep your faith private today. Ask God to use you to impact at least one person with the love and hope of Jesus.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for saving me and giving my life purpose. Help me not to keep the gospel to myself. Give me courage to speak, wisdom to know when to act, and compassion for people who need You. Open doors for conversations that point others toward hope and salvation. Let my life reflect Your love everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name, amen.
