Unstoppable Peace
03/25/2026
When we truly believe in Jesus, not just intellectually, but relationally, His Spirit begins to move in us and through us. Peace starts to flow. Wisdom starts to flow. Compassion starts to flow. Even in difficult seasons, there’s something deeper than circumstances that keeps moving.
“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” — John 7:38
Jesus didn’t choose His words lightly. When He said rivers, He wasn’t talking about something gentle and barely noticeable. This is more like standing at the edge of something powerful, like Niagara Falls, where the force is undeniable, constant, and overwhelming… yet there’s a strange peace in just watching it flow.
That’s the picture.
Not a trickle. Not something you have to protect or manage.
A forceful, steady, life-giving flow that doesn’t run out.
And yet, with Him, it’s peaceful.
Because it’s not driven by chaos or pressure. It’s driven by source.
Jesus spoke these words during a moment when people were remembering God’s provision of water in the wilderness. They knew what it meant to be thirsty. They knew what it meant to depend on God for survival. And in that setting, Jesus stands and says, “What you’ve been remembering… I am.”
But then He takes it further.
He says that kind of life, that kind of flow, won’t just come to you… it will come through you.
I remember a time in my life when everything felt like it was running on empty. Ok, at times it still does. You know the moments, responsibilities are high, expectations are high, but internally, you feel dry. That was me, and sometimes still is. don’t get me wrong, I was still doing ministry, preaching messages, leading people, but I knew something wasn’t flowing the way it should. It felt more like I was manufacturing energy instead of living from a source.
What I have learned though when I feel this way, is to slow down long enough to just sit with the Lord, not preparing, not producing, just being. And it is in these quiet moments I start to sense His gentle correction: “You’re trying to pour out what you haven’t allowed Me to fill.”
That changed everything.
Because the promise of Jesus isn’t that we strive harder, it’s that we stay connected.
It’s like standing near a waterfall. There’s power all around, but instead of fear, there’s calm. Instead of anxiety, there’s steadiness. You’re not controlling the flow, you’re just standing in it.
That’s what Jesus is offering.
A life where His Spirit flows through you with power… but produces peace.
Not because your circumstances are calm, but because your source is constant.
And here’s the truth: when you try to live apart from that source, everything feels forced. You strive. You push. You manufacture. And it wears you down.
But when you stay connected to Him, something begins to move that you don’t have to create.
Strength shows up when you need it.
Peace settles in when it shouldn’t make sense.
Love flows even when it’s hard.
It’s not you trying harder.
It’s Him flowing stronger.
So maybe today isn’t about doing more.
Maybe it’s about stepping closer to the source and letting His presence do what it already promises to do.
Action Steps:
• Take a few quiet moments today and simply sit in God’s presence—no agenda, just awareness.
• When you feel pressure rising, pause and remind yourself: “The flow doesn’t come from me.”
• Invite the Holy Spirit to fill the places where you feel overwhelmed.
• Let one conversation today be shaped by peace instead of pressure.
Challenge for the Day:
Stop trying to control the flow. Step into it—and trust the power and peace of God within you.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your life in me is not weak or limited—it is powerful and constant. Forgive me for the times I’ve tried to live off my own strength. Today, I choose to step into Your flow. Let Your Spirit move through me with both power and peace. Quiet my striving, steady my heart, and remind me that You are always enough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
