WEEK THREE — A King Like No Other

If you were designing a king, what would he look like?

Powerful?

Impressive?

Untouchable?

Surrounded by wealth, armies, and influence?

Then Jesus probably isn't the King you would have designed.

He rides a donkey instead of a warhorse.

He washes feet instead of demanding servants.

He stands in chains before Pilate.

And instead of a crown of gold, He wears a crown of thorns.

Jesus doesn't simply give us a better version of earthly leadership. He completely turns our understanding of power upside down.

His Kingdom isn't built through domination but sacrifice. Not fear but love. Not self-promotion but humility.

Maybe Jesus isn't the King we expected.

Maybe He's exactly the King we need.
