The River Remains
When the floodwaters swept through our community, they left behind destruction that none of us will soon forget. Homes were ruined, businesses washed away, and treasured possessions lost in an instant. Yet, even as the waters rose, something remained untouched — the foundation of faith, hope, and love that God has built in His people.
This powerful message draws from Psalm 46, 1 Peter 1:3–8, and other passages to remind us that the storms of life cannot destroy what God Himself has secured. Our inheritance in Christ is imperishable, our salvation is guarded by God’s power, and our trials — though painful — serve to strengthen and refine our faith.
Through real stories of neighbors helping neighbors, faith shining through suffering, and hope springing up even in children’s voices, we see that what the flood couldn’t take, God is ready to fill. The destructive waters may have come, but God’s river — a river of living water that restores, renews, and brings life — still flows.
This message is more than encouragement; it’s a call to remember, to rebuild, and to renew. It’s a declaration that, though we weep and grieve, God is not finished with us. He is filling the empty spaces with His Spirit, His peace, and His hope.
Join us as we celebrate the truth that the flood came…but the river remains.
